Harvest Microsoft Enhanced High Income Shares ETF CAD (MSHE.TO)

ETF overview

The fund aims for long-term capital appreciation by investing up to 100% of its assets in Microsoft stocks (MSFT). Each month, the fund manager writes covered call options on up to 50% of the portfolio's value. These options are typically at-the-money, but the manager has the discretion to write them out-of-the-money. The covered call strategy generates premiums but limits participation in potential gains. The fund may also use derivatives, including futures and forward contracts, to reduce transaction costs, increase liquidity, hedge exposure, and generate additional income. It will not hedge any foreign currency exposure. The fund uses a modest leverage of about 125% through cash borrowing. Its aggregate exposure to cash borrowings, short sales, and derivatives will not exceed 33% of the NAV. The fund is actively managed. The manager may deviate from the funds investment strategies and take a defensive position in declining markets.
