This fund actively oversees a portfolio primarily composed of government and corporate debt securities, all denominated in Canadian dollars. It retains the option to allocate up to 40% of its capital to non-Canadian securities. The eligible debt includes both higher-rated (investment-grade) and lower-rated (non-investment-grade) instruments, such as loans and any other debt instruments the portfolio manager deems beneficial for boosting the fund's total return.
