Additionally, TC Energy manages a 4,900-kilometer liquids pipeline system that moves Alberta crude oil to key refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and the U.S. Gulf Coast. The company's assets further include ownership or interests in power generation facilities capable of producing approximately 4,600 megawatts. It also operates non-regulated natural gas storage facilities in Alberta, Ontario, Québec, and New Brunswick, holding about 118 billion cubic feet. Established in 1951 and headquartered in Calgary, Canada, the firm adopted the name TC Energy Corporation in May 2019, having previously been known as TransCanada Corporation.
