As of December 31, 2021, it controlled approximately 768,050 net acres within the Appalachian region and operated a total of 1,527 producing wells. Its proven reserves at that time consisted of an estimated 21,148 billion cubic feet equivalent (Bcfe) of natural gas, oil, and NGLs. Furthermore, the company is involved in the distribution and transport of these energy products. Its customer base includes liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporters, other energy firms, public utilities, and industrial users of natural gas. Southwestern Energy Company, founded in 1929, maintains its main office in Spring, Texas.
