It is also developing HB-400 for the treatment of Hepatitis B that is in Phase I of clinical trial; and HB-500 for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) that is in Phase I of clinical trial. The company has a collaboration and license agreement with Gilead Sciences, Inc. to collaborate on preclinical research programs to evaluate potential vaccine products for the treatment, cure, diagnosis, or prevention of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and the HIV.
