This ETF aims to mirror the performance of the FTSE US Treasury Short Duration Index, which comprises US dollar-denominated debt instruments issued by the United States government. The index focuses on short-term maturities, specifically including fixed-rate bonds with remaining terms of one month to one year, and floating-rate bonds maturing between one month and three years. To be eligible, bonds must have a minimum outstanding principal amount of USD 5 billion, excluding any holdings by the Federal Reserve. The index incorporates both fixed-rate and floating-rate US Treasury securities, as well as Treasury bills. Conversely, it explicitly excludes Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), Strips, callable Treasuries, and bonds that had an original maturity of ten years or more at issuance.
