Xtrackers II ESG Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF 1D (XBAG.DE)
Company overview
This ETF seeks to mirror the performance of the Bloomberg MSCI Global Aggregate Sustainable and SRI Currency Neutral Index. This benchmark encompasses a wide array of fixed-income instruments, including sovereign debt, government-linked entities, corporate bonds, and securitized assets. It offers extensive diversification, covering issuers from both developed and emerging economies, denominated in qualifying currencies. Only debt instruments with a remaining maturity of at least one year are eligible. To ensure alignment with sustainable investment principles, the index exclusively selects bonds from companies that achieve an MSCI ESG rating of 'BBB' or higher and possess an MSCI ESG Controversy score of 1 or above. Furthermore, the index explicitly excludes companies engaged in specific controversial sectors, such as alcohol, tobacco, gambling, adult entertainment, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), nuclear power, civilian firearms, conventional weapons, nuclear weapons, controversial weapons, and particular military armaments, as detailed in its exclusion criteria. The reweighting process maintains neutrality across currency, sector, and maturity profiles. For comprehensive details on the index and Bloomberg's overarching methodology, please refer to the official Bloomberg indices website (https://www.bloombergindices.com/).
