Xtrackers MSCI Europe Materials Screened UCITS ETF 1C (DXSC.DE)
Company overview
This fund seeks to replicate the returns of major and mid-sized firms from developed European markets, specifically those classified within the materials sector as per the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) taxonomy. Constituent companies are weighted based on their free-float adjusted market capitalization. Adhering to MSCI's capped index rules, the maximum allocation for any single corporate group is set at 35%, with other group entities capped at 20%. A 10% tolerance is factored into these limits during scheduled index rebalancing, as well as any required monthly ad-hoc adjustments. Rigorous environmental, social, and governance (ESG) screening is applied, leading to the exclusion of companies engaged in controversial armaments; firms with an MSCI ESG Rating of 'CCC' or that are unrated; entities generating revenue above set thresholds from tobacco, conventional or nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, thermal coal, unconventional or Arctic oil and gas extraction, or palm oil; and any issuer receiving an MSCI Controversies Score of zero. A further characteristic is a reduced greenhouse gas intensity in comparison to the benchmark index it is derived from. For comprehensive information regarding the index's methodology, including selection and weighting, please consult the MSCI website.
