Additionally, the company oversees container terminals that link sea and land distribution networks at key Japanese ports, including Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Yokkaichi, Osaka, Kobe, and Moji. It also manages vessel arrival and departure procedures, functions as a ship agent by issuing crucial documents like cargo certificates, and executes conventional shipping duties, such as advising on the most effective handling methods for diverse types of goods. Established in 1909 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company was formerly known as Mitsui-Soko Co., Ltd. before rebranding to MITSUI-SOKO HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. in October 2014.
