MTR was originally formed by Mori Trust Co., Ltd., and commenced operations on March 28, 2002, by acquiring a property. MTR is provided professional asset management services of properties of various types by a licensed asset management company, MORI TRUST Asset Management Co., Ltd. MTAM is currently owned 95% by MORI TRUST Co., Ltd., and 5% by Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. On February 13, 2004, MTR was listed on the J-REIT section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. As of August 31, 2025, MTR owned a portfolio of 20 properties with a total rentable area of 506,295.29 sq. meters occupied by 121 tenants. The occupancy rate was 99.8%. MORI TRUST Reit, Inc was incorporated in Japan in 2001.
