Beyond bearings, the company is a provider of mechanical power transmission products, which encompass encoders, gearboxes/transmissions, a variety of couplings and joints, belts, augers, linear motion components, brakes, clutches, as well as wheels, accessories, and tools for commercial vehicles, and chains. Complementing its manufacturing activities, the firm offers essential services such as maintenance contracts, refurbishment programs, and specialized uptower and motor repair. Established in 1987 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, the company previously operated as Tata Timken Limited until its name change to Timken India Limited in July 1999.
