Beyond traditional banking, the bank provides diverse insurance products, covering life, health, and credit risks, alongside a range of general insurance policies for fire, liability, marine, motor, personal accident, and travel. The South Indian Bank further enhances its customer experience with extensive digital and value-added services. These include robust mobile and internet banking platforms, demat accounts, and online trading facilities. Clients benefit from a variety of card products (credit, debit, ATM cum shopping), money transfer services, and specialized programs like NETC FASTag, SIB Rewardz, and SIB e-Academia. Additional offerings span KYC certification for mutual fund investors, green pin, branch banking, FX-retail, sovereign gold bonds, pension systems, SIB Collect, PAN service agency, cash management, travel cards, direct debit, tax payment and savings investments, and safe deposit locker services. Furthermore, the bank actively distributes capital gain and tax-free bonds. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers are catered to with NRE and NRO rupee accounts, foreign currency deposit options, and portfolio investment schemes. For its business clientele, the bank supplies various current accounts, such as normal, premium, SIB Merchant Plus, and Trader Smart. Business financing extends to working capital, long-term, non-fund-based, supply chain, and SIB commercial vehicle loans, supplemented by international finance, mortgage, and general business loans. Merchant acquiring services are also a key part of its commercial solutions. As of March 31, 2022, The South Indian Bank Limited maintained a significant physical presence, boasting 935 branches and a network of 1270 ATMs/CRMs. The bank was founded in 1929 and has its headquarters located in Thrissur, India.
