For the automotive sector, it supplies critical components such as vehicle body and main parts, carbon-ceramic brake discs, battery solutions, friction materials, chassis components, gas diffusion layers and bipolar plates, vanes, rotors, and various sealing and bearing materials, along with solutions for thermal management. Its Composite Solutions segment further provides energy storage systems, leaf springs, and additional friction materials. SGL Carbon also plays a role in the advancement of fuel cell technology, developing solutions for energy conversion and zero-emission mobile applications in passenger cars, trains, and ferries. Moreover, it produces carbon fibers and semi-finished products utilizing both glass and carbon fibers. Beyond these areas, the company offers highly specialized materials for industrial applications, including isostatic graphite for compound semiconductor layers and silicon carbide coatings essential for semiconductor production. For process technology, its offerings encompass robust heat exchangers, columns, quenchers, pumps, piping, and sealing materials.
