Beyond electricity, the firm also handles the production, transmission, and distribution of heat, participates in wholesale electricity and gas markets, trades in emission certificates, and manages fuel procurement and sales. It directly provides electricity and associated services to a substantial customer base of approximately 5 million households, businesses, and various institutions. Established in 1990, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. maintains its headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.
