Company overview

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) is a leading global manufacturer and distributor specializing in a diverse portfolio of chemical products and fibers. Its extensive range includes polyethylene terephthalate (PET), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), paraxylene, purified isophthalic acid, naphthalene dicarboxylate (NDC), and integrated purified ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol. The company also produces various textile materials such as polyester, rayon, nylon, polypropylene, composites, and worsted wool fibers. IVL's operations are structured into five core business segments: Integrated PET, Specialty Chemicals, Packaging, Integrated Oxides and Derivatives, and Fibers. Within its Integrated PET segment, Indorama Ventures supplies a variety of PET resins, including specialized grades for hot-fill, high and low intrinsic viscosity, quick heat, and general-purpose uses. These resins are critical for manufacturing beverage containers, food packaging, pharmaceutical and household product packaging, and industrial packaging solutions. Additionally, the company produces ready-to-use clear and colored preforms, bottles, and closures. Its Integrated Oxides and Derivatives division provides ethylene glycol, a foundational raw material for polyester fibers, antifreeze, liquid coolant, and industrial solvents. Monoethylene glycol serves as a vital feedstock for PET and polyester fiber production. Diethylene glycol is essential in making polyester polyols, unsaturated polyester resins, buffet heaters, paints, coatings, plasticizers, liquid laundry detergents, and for cement grinding processes. Triethylene glycol finds its use primarily in natural gas dehydration. The Specialty Chemicals segment offers surfactants, LAB (Linear Alkylbenzene), and ethanolamines. These are integral components in the formulation of detergents, homecare products, soaps, toothpastes, shampoos, hair conditioners, and various other foaming products. The Fibers segment encompasses polyester fibers and yarns, which are widely employed in apparel, home textiles, automotive interiors, and non-woven applications. It also includes bicomponent fibers, worsted wool yarns for suits and sweaters, and high-performance tire cord yarns crucial for airbags and tire reinforcement. Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, and established in 2003, Indorama Ventures maintains a significant global presence, operating across Thailand, North America, Europe, and numerous international markets. The company functions as a subsidiary of Indorama Resources Limited.
