Additionally, the company manufactures specialized steel products like pipes and conduits, corrugated steel sheets, roofing and cladding solutions for industrial and commercial buildings, highway guard rails, components for photovoltaic structures, insulated panels, various open and laminated profiles, collaborative plates, steel plates, and diverse tubular products. Beyond its core steel operations, CAP has diversified into desalinated water production and the construction of power transmission lines. Founded in 1946, the company was formerly known as Compañía de Acero del Pacífico S.A. de Inversiones before officially changing its name to CAP S.A. in May 1991. Its headquarters are situated in Las Condes, Chile.
